Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress best known for her performances in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business from a young age. At the age of 16, she turned 16, Alexandra had landed leading roles in several television dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall won an Oscar and received critical and commercial success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning diva. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of noteworthy national and international projects. This includes the British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
